As Ramadan draws to a close, five fashion-forward women from across the GCC are putting their own stylish spin on traditional Eid looks. From vibrant colours to modern cuts by regional designers, here’s how these women are dressing—and celebrating—this Eid.
Tamara Farra
“This Eid, I’m heading back to Lebanon to spend time with my family in Beirut. It’s been a while since I’ve visited, and I’m really looking forward to quality family time. One of my favourite Eid traditions is our big family lunch, where extended family gathers for an unforgettable celebration. As a child, I loved the Ediya tradition, where my grandfather would give each grandchild one of every Lebanese lira bill to teach us about the different currencies. It’s a memory that still stays with me.
For my Eid outfit this year, I don’t have a set go-to brand, but I always like wearing something fresh and new. I tend to gravitate towards flowy, colourful dresses rather than dull tones. Currently, I’m obsessed with earthy browns – from Saint Laurent bags to suede jackets, and dresses. I’m living for these warm, natural tones.
A couple of festive season favourites include the Alaïa Ballet Flats in knitted lurex. Initially, I wasn’t sold on this trend, but they look so chic with kaftans and abayas during Ramadan. Another favourite of mine is the Chanel Slingbacks, which effortlessly elevate any outfit.
Lately, I’ve also been reaching for barrel jeans, and I’m loving the high-rise, ankle-length, balloon-leg fit from Frame Denim. As for accessories, my favourite bags include a Prada suede shoulder bag for texture and the Bottega Veneta Andiamo Clutch. For footwear, I adore my Ancient Greek Sandals – they offer a barefoot, elongated look I love.
Jewellery-wise, I’m all about Stellar Gems lab-grown diamonds. With summer and travel on the horizon, these diamonds are a perfect choice – offering all the sparkle without the worry of travelling with them. Off-duty, I’m all about my Zimmermann denim dress, and for cosy nights in, it’s Teejayz pyjamas.”

“Eid for me is all about quality time with family and friends in Dubai. I prefer a cozy celebration, so we dress up and make the rounds visiting relatives and friends. The energy at these family gatherings is unmatched, and I enjoy soaking up all the festive vibes. Since the weather is still cool at night, there’s a good chance we’ll end up in the desert to make the most of the cool evenings. Eid prayers are always a peaceful way to begin the celebrations.
This year, I’m embracing sustainability and re-styling pieces I already own. A classic kaftan or mukhwar is my go-to for the first day. I love supporting Dubai-based designers like Bambah, Hessa Falasi, Illi Studio, and YNM for their modern takes on kaftans, and I’ve been a fan of Taller Marmo for their chic, effortless silhouettes.

I’ve also been eyeing the Khaite Scarlet dress – it’s perfect for Eid gatherings and would make me feel effortlessly elegant. The Louboutin x Maison Margiela silver flats are also on my wish list, as they would work for both day and evening looks.
For accessories, I’m loving the DeMellier London suede bag – it’s ideal for packing Eid essentials. I also adore Loewe denim trousers and Victoria Beckham blazers for their impeccable tailoring. Ferragamo heels have caught my eye, and they’d pair perfectly with the Khaite dress. I’m also a fan of Karen Wazen sunglasses for a timeless touch.
For jewellery, I’m recommending Kamushki’s necklace – stunning both worn solo or layered. And for a touch of sparkle, Garrard earrings and a Boucheron statement ring add the perfect festive finish.”

“I’m spending Eid in Doha with my mum and family – I may even go for sushi at the W Hotel since I’ve missed it during Ramadan. One of my favourite parts of Eid is preparing the sweets and arranging the coffee table the night before, then waking up early and getting dressed for a 10am celebration.
This year, I’m wearing a piece from a local designer and pairing it with international brands for shoes and jewellery. I don’t stick to one designer, but last Eid I wore a Ferragamo dress, and this year I’ll be wearing a piece from a Saudi designer – stay tuned!
I’m loving the Okhtein gold clutch, which goes with everything from kaftans to dresses, and the Alaïa Le Teckel bag adds a cute pop of colour. I’m also a fan of the Destree jacket, which I’ll pair with jeans or a simple dress and flats for an elevated look.
For accessories, I’m packing a Gucci shirtdress for an Eid getaway, and a kaftan from Nora Al Shaikh for Eid morning, paired with black kitten heels. I’m also all about Magda Butrym for edgy romantic pieces, Jimmy Choo heels for timeless elegance, and Louis Vuitton for knits. A sleeveless sweater from Louis Vuitton paired with dark wash jeans and pumps will complete the look.
As for scarves, my current favourite is my Hermès Scarf, which reminds me of Ramadan and the moon. I love draping it over my shoulders or tying it around my head for a boho feel.”

“This Eid, we’re staying in Dubai as one of my best friends is getting married right after Eid. We’re excited to attend her wedding, so no trips this time.
Our Eid tradition includes gathering with my husband’s family in Ras Al Khaimah, exchanging gifts and Eidiyah, and giving toys to the kids. I love gifting pyjamas for Eid, and then we all change into festive outfits for the rest of the day. On the first day, we usually stay home, and on the second day, we go out for an authentic Iraqi meal – Al Maskoof on Al Wasl Road and Kabab Erbil in Jumeirah are perfect for family outings.
This year, I’m opting for a colourful, one-piece outfit. The yellow Simkhai Amarantha Off-Shoulder Dress is the perfect choice, with its beautiful cut and comfort. For shoes, I’ve been eyeing the Miu Miu Canvas Slides and the Miu Miu Beau Top Handle Bag.
Jewellery is minimal yet festive with ripple stud earrings, which add the perfect amount of glamour to my Eid look.”

“I’m staying in Jeddah for Eid, enjoying time with family. Eid mornings start with prayers and a big family breakfast. A highlight of Eid for me is dressing up with my kids and capturing family photos.
For this year’s Eid, I’m embracing Saudi luxury with a custom-made Tima Abid kaftan. I adore her designs for their elegance and timelessness. I’m pairing it with a Bottega clutch and OFA Jewellery for classic, intricate gold pieces. Amina Muaddi shoes will add an artsy touch to complete the look.”
These women are celebrating Eid in style, blending traditional influences with modern flair, and embracing both local and international designers to create unique, personal looks.
